We work with State Agencies; commercial, non-commercial and regulatory entities that are public sector bodies of the state and have a statutory obligation to perform specific tasks on behalf of the Government of Ireland. Whilst they come under the aegis of Government Departments, they are distinct and separate from the civil service and deliver crucial services to the Irish public, providing vital services that help influence and shape Irish society. Serving on the board of a State Agency offers you the unique opportunity to play a role in the strategic planning and direction of the agency to the benefit of the public it serves.

The main navigation is on the top of the page. The navigation is divided into 5 sub sections. You can also navigate the site using the site map.
The Available Appointments section provides summary information on current State Board appointments. Click on an appointment to see more detailed information and apply for the appointment. The Code of Practice section provides links to downloadable documents relating to the Code of Practice for Governing State Bodies.
The About Us section provides information on Stateboards.ie, typical competencies for a board position and some eligibility criteria.
The site may be viewed in Irish or English. To switch languages, select the required language indicator at the top right side of the page.
There is also a secondary navigation at the bottom of the page. Links on this navigation include accessibility, site map, FOI, privacy statement, terms and conditions and site requirements.
