Appointments to the Board of the Digital Hub Development Agency

The Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment invites applications from suitably qualified applicants to fill up to three vacancies on the Board of the Digital Hub Development Agency.

Candidates must demonstrate in their application, evidence of relevant knowledge and experience at an appropriately senior level under one of the following areas:


Candidates must have senior executive level financial/accounting experience gained in a large organisation and have previous involvement in the provision of strategic financial planning guidance.  They must have current membership of a professional accountancy body.

Corporate Governance/Compliance/Risk Management

Candidates for this role must have considerable experience of corporate governance/compliance/risk management at an appropriately senior level and have previous experience as a member of a risk committee or internal audit function.

Organisation Development

Candidates for this role must have experience in either providing or obtaining finance for scaling companies – for example as a venture capital manager, an angel investor or a serial entrepreneur, or as the principal of a company that has grown from startup to trade sale or IPO.


Candidates for all roles should ideally demonstrate knowledge and experience, at an appropriately senior level, of one or more of the following:

• Previous Board experience
• Knowledge of trends in the ICT industry
• Experience in property development
• Experience with implementing the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies

Candidates for the Corporate Governance/Compliance/Risk Management role should ideally hold a recognised qualification in corporate governance and/or risk management

The Minister shall have regard to the desirability for gender balance on the Board as the Minister considers appropriate and determines from time to time when making appointments.

In order to qualify for appointment a person must not have any conflicts of interest likely to interfere with his/her ability to assume the role of a member of the Board. Please give careful consideration to the possibility of any potential conflict of interest that may exist and address this in your cover letter. The Assessment Panel may decide, based on the perceived level of conflict, not to forward your name for consideration.
